Recognitions

H.O.P.E. is incredibly grateful that the work of our community has been recognized through a number of awards and honors. While these recognitions are meaningful to us, they represent something much larger than our program alone. They reflect the generosity of families who donate uniforms, the schools that support our mission, and the volunteers who believe that small actions can create lasting environmental and community impact.

Crystal Geyser Roxane California Youth Sustainability Leader Award

November 2021

Recognized by Crystal Geyser Roxane as the youngest recipient in the award’s history for my innovative efforts to promote environmental sustainability and reduce textile waste in schools. Additionally, I received a $5,000 prize for my leadership in founding the H.O.P.E. Uniforms Program.

Dr. Cora Clemons Emerging Young Samaritan Award

March 2024

Chosen by Samaritan House for the $2,000 award due to H.O.P.E. Uniforms Program ongoing community impact in the San Mateo County. News article here.

Action For Nature International Young Eco-Hero 3rd Place Award

January 2023

Chosen by Action for Nature for the international award, honoring youth dedicated to impactful environmental initiatives with a $300 monetary prize.

Community Partnership with Costco

December 2024

Secured a donation from Costco, including direct engagement with CEO Ron Vachris, resulting in the donation of over 2,000 brand-new school uniforms to support large-scale community distribution.

Sustainable San Mateo County Award

March 2023

Honored by Sustainable San Mateo County with for advancing sustainability and environmental responsibility across eight public schools in the region.

Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heros

August 2025

One of 15 top honorees nationwide, awarded $10,000 to support continued service and leadership work with H.O.P.E. Uniforms Program. News article here.

Uniforms Program collects gently used  students’ school uniforms and redistributes them back to families who need them. for free.  If you have outgrown your current uniform, come request for the next size up! Then, you could donate your outgrown clothing back into the community, thereby creating an eco-friendly cycle!
